Choosing Your Bouquet

The blooms you carry on your wedding day should suit you and complement your gown in every way. Here are some pointers :

  • Start thinking about your ideal bouquet once you have selected your bridal gown.

  • Flipping through magazines and surfing the Internet can help you discover what appeals to you.

  • Traditional weddings often call for sophisticated and classic styles whereas casual events can be more conducive to funky and quirky arrangements.

  • Pair a simple bouquet with an elaborate gown and vice versa.

  • Small blooms work better with petite ladies whereas statuesque women tend to carry off larger blooms better.

  • Meet with several candidates before settling on the floral designer whom you feel most comfortable with. A good florist should be able to tell you whether you are realistic and should also be able to work round your budget.
