I must first start by thanking my fellow industry colleagues for once again wholeheartedly supporting this endeavour. It is heartening to see that the majority of those represented in our inaugural issue in 2006 have decided to participate in this 2007 edition. This certainly reflects the fact that our strategy of working with wedding industry professionals to conceptualise, write and design this wedding planner has indeed achieved our aim of providing not just the facts and contacts to all those who will soon walk down-the-aisle, but also to provide suggestions, ideas and advice to help lessen the anxiety of planning for the big day.

The participation of additional service providers this time round is also a testament to our vision of being a truly industry-driven initiative, with the aim of promoting the services we, as wedding practitioners offer.

Over the past year, we have received much encouraging feedback from our industry partners and most importantly from soon-to-be-married couples. We have therefore maintained our ‘pictorial-driven, precise text’ concept, with ‘real life’ weddings featured wherever possible. The emotionally-engaging photographs selected for this issue are a reflection of the spectacular and dramatic yet poignant weddings that we as Malaysians get to witness and celebrate. They act as catalysts, providing you with ideas that will inspire your very own ‘dream wedding’.

We have also taken note of constructive criticisms, and have made some improvements, most notably in the ‘Directory’ section, by including service providers based outside the Klang Valley as well. We hope the enhancements we have made will make this wedding planner even more user-friendly.
