Planning With Peace Of Mind

Let’s face it, planning a wedding, no matter how small or large an event, is an enormous challenge. For the majority, stress levels will rise as the wedding day approaches as there is just so much to do, with so little time to cover all bases. This is perhaps why wedding planners are always of the opinion that it is never too early to start planning for the wedding once a couple is engaged.

To be realistic, couples must be prepared to face some hiccups along the way. Undoubtedly, some minor problems will arise and for the unlucky few, major crises may even threaten to derail the wedding plans. In what is supposed to be a couple’s happiest time of their lives, peace of mind is a rarity for many, which is why it is important for couples to be willing to among other things, delegate some of the responsibilities to family and close friends, tap the expertise of professional wedding service providers and be able to take everything in stride.

One other area that can offer some peace of mind is wedding insurance. An entrenched practice in the West and now being newly introduced in Malaysia, allocating a small portion of the budget for wedding insurance is a means to safeguard a couple from financial difficulty should they find themselves facing any of the following scenarios :

  • Loss or damage to wedding attire.
  • Theft of wedding gifts, jewellery and angpows.
  • Loss or damage to wedding photography and videography.
  • Accidents causing injury to the bride or bridegroom.
  • Legal expenses due to contractual disputes with vendors.
  • Postponement of event due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Legal liability to third party bodily injury or property damage.

Naturally, every couple aspires to have a perfect wedding but mishaps may and can happen. By protecting oneself financially, it softens the blow and stress level. The show must go on and indeed it will, if one is smart enough to make it a point to safeguard oneself from such unexpected pitfalls.
