The stag night or bachelor’s night is normally organised by the best man and attended by the groomsmen, close friends and relatives (male only!) of the groom to celebrate the impending end of the his bachelorhood.
Here are some tips :
Choose a date prior to the wedding. Having the event on the eve of the wedding is never a good idea as the groom may not recover in time!
Set a budget and determine who pays for what. The groom typically is not required to pay.
Make a guest list. Do ensure that those on the list are also to be invited to the wedding to avoid any awkwardness later.
Do not drink and drive.
Give invitees advanced notice to keep the day free.
Although a little fun and teasing are to be expected, do not humiliate the groom.
Do not partake in any activity that may jeopardise the groom’s marriage.
Tip
: Check with the groom if he’d like to have a high-voltage or low-key party.
