After falling-off-the-wagon
for a while, the trend of having pre-wedding
portraits taken seems to be making a comeback.
While many couples have in the recent past opted
for only event photography on their actual wedding
day, many others are now seriously looking at
the possibility of portrait photography prior
to their wedding.

Some advantages of pre-wedding
photography may include the following :
- The couple will be more
relaxed without having to negotiate the activities
of an actual wedding day.
- Both the couple and photographer
would be able to take their time capturing
shots.
- Special locations, whether
near or far-off, can be chosen as backdrops.
- The portraits can be displayed
on their actual wedding day, either in albums
or as a multimedia presentation.

When deciding on a photographer,
do consider the following :
- Their portfolio of work.
- What their respective packages
include, e.g. number of exposures, number
of prints in album etc.
- Lead time required for them
to deliver the photos and album.
- Are the gown, suit, makeup,
hairstyling and flowers included or would
you have to make arrangements for these?

| Tip
: Start the portrait photography session early
before it becomes too hot, especially if outdoor
locales are involved. |
