Portrait
shots of the bride and groom have traditionally
been done prior to the wedding ceremony. Normally
carried out in a small group with just a photographer,
art director and perhaps a bridesmaid or friend
in attendance, the couple can be relaxed and take
their time responding to the photographer. Couples
have a choice in selecting the location for pre-wedding
photo sessions - studio, home, hotel or perhaps
at an outdoor site.

Tip
: Pre-wedding portraits often take time. To make
it as enjoyable as possible, the key would be
to be patient and stay relaxed.
A developing
trend that is gaining popularity among newlyweds
is to have portraits taken during the wedding
day itself. More impromptu in nature, it captures
both the emotions and the radiance of the couple
on their actual wedding day.

Tip
: Find some time, perhaps half or even an hour
to be alone with your photographer during the
actual wedding day for a few portrait shots to
be taken.
