| Marriage
is one of the most important milestones in one's
life, and for the majority, this once-in-a-lifetime
event is one that is to be cherished. The truth
is however, that after months of meticulous planning,
the day very often passes by so very quickly.
Precious moments and memorable scenes are aplenty,
but for the bride and groom, the exhilaration
and excitement of the day can at times overwhelm,
and the day may just go by in a blur of happy
emotions. Which is why good wedding photographers
are essential in order to capture and document
this landmark occasion. |

| Many
modern couples nowadays have a preference for
a natural and spontaneous, relaxed style of photography.
No longer wanting to pose statue-like, as may
have been the practice in the past, what they
look for is a photographer who will record the
day in the manner of a story unfolding, so to
speak. Capturing the feeling and emotion of the
day, the split-second interaction between the
bride and groom, expressions of all those witnessing
the event and the like, is the ideal. Candid shots
and artistic impressions aside, there is nevertheless
still a necessity to include some traditional,
formal 'posed' shots, particularly images of the
bride and groom with family, relatives and close
friends. A balanced mix of traditional portraiture
and a photojournalistic approach will meet most
couples' requirements. |

| To
get the best out of your chosen photographers,
it is imperative that you spend some time getting
to know them, and in turn give them the opportunity
to learn a little bit more about you. Tell them
what you like, what you dislike, and your expectations
of them. Exchange ideas and allow them the opportunity
to share their take on how they plan to photograph
your wedding day. And once the briefing is done,
give them a free hand. |
