Brides who opt for made-to-measure often do
so because of a number of reasons:
- The opportunity to provide input and share
ideas with the designer to come up with the
design of your choice.
- The possibility of selecting the type of
fabric to be used, for example, bridal satin,
duchesse satin, Thai silk, chiffon or organza
to name a few.
- The chance to so call 'pick the brain' of
the designer in terms of silhouette of the
gown and embellishments such as embroidery,
lace appliqué or beading for instance.
- A certain degree of exclusivity as most
made-to-measure gowns are 'one-off' designs
and unique.
- The fit of a custom-made gown is often superior
to one bought off-the-rack.
