The cut
of a diamond is the most important of the 4Cs as the
precision with which each facet is cut on the diamond
determines the amount of light that is reflected back
to the eye.
The size
and weight of a diamond is measured in carats. Rarity
correlates with the size of the stone. The larger the
stone, the more expensive.
The colour
of a diamond can range from colourless to light yellow,
with the former being the most rare and therefore most
valuable.
The clarity
of a diamond refers to the tiny natural marks called
inclusions that are present in the diamond. Expect to
pay top dollar for a flawless clarity grading.
